What is MarriedPeople?
We think marriage is a pretty big deal, because it’s a pretty big deal to God. That’s why we have MarriedPeople. It’s more than a marriage program, it’s a strategy. As a church, we want to be very intentional and strategic in helping couples pursue and maintain a healthy, vibrant marriage that reflects the glory of God, just as He intended. Our strategy for encouraging couples and strengthening marriages revolves around 4 Core Habits that we want to help you build into your marriage relationship: Have Serious Fun, Respect & Love, Love God First, and Practice Your Promise.
These Core 4 Habits guide everything we do through MarriedPeople, whether it's…
Inspiring Couples in Larger Groups: 3-4 times a year we will have what we call “MarriedPeople Night Out”. Each of these Larger Group Experiences will involve lots of laughter, creative programming, great music, relevant messages, and follow-up application to help you invest in your marriage on your own.
Empowering Small Groups: We want to see every couple participate in one marriage small group every year. These small groups will last about 6 weeks and are where couples learn together about God and are encouraged to put faith into practice in the context of marriage.
Equipping Individual Couples: Throughout the year, we want to equip you to invest in your own marriage by hosting Date Nights and helping you connect with other couples in mentor-type relationships.
Is MarriedPeople for me/us?
Are you married? Then it’s for you. Our marriage ministry is not just for young couples, nor is it just about helping struggling marriages get back on track. We believe that no marriage is perfect and that every married couple can be encouraged and better equipped to pursue a stronger, healthier marriage. With that being said, we believe that each couple’s involvement in this ministry will look different and will be for different reasons. We want all couples involved and being encouraged, yet we want to see older couples mentoring younger couples, younger couples blessing older couples, and struggling couples finding help and strength from a couple who has “been there.”
What's the difference in events?
Date Night - We hope you and your spouse get to go on date nights
periodically, just to enjoy one another. Our Date Nights are designed to give you a focused experience around a particular theme or topic. We will provide you with some resources to guide you on a date night together. Once you have the resource, feel free to go on a date whenever is convenient for you. However, if you want to take advantage of our free childcare, you’ll need to sign up ahead of time and plan your date night on our scheduled date.
Night Out - These are large group events at the church where you will come together with other couples for a night of fun and biblical encouragement for your marriage. Free childcare will be offered for these events, but you have to sign up ahead of time.
